What is HOCl?
Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is a small molecule (H–O–Cl) your pet's own immune system already makes – their white blood cells produce it naturally. The chemistry has been used in medical and veterinary care for over a century. We stabilize it for gentle, everyday use on skin.
Why it's so gentle
Because HOCl is the body's own molecule, it's remarkably well tolerated – fragrance-free, alcohol-free, and far gentler than wipes or alcohol-based sprays. It won't sting on a sensitive spot, and it's safe if your pet licks the area afterward.

Most HOCl is made by running electricity through salt water – it sounds natural, but it leaves behind byproducts and extra salt that slowly react with the HOCl and break it down.
Ours skips electrolysis: a precise, pH-controlled process – Japanese-licensed, with decades behind it – brings it to exactly the pH where hypochlorous acid stays stable, with less leftover salt and fewer byproducts. So it stays potent and ready by the time it reaches your pet.

Why we built this
Fifteen years of HOCl. Then our Shiba needed it.
We didn't discover hypochlorous acid for Mochi. We'd spent more than fifteen years making it at Barrier Lab, stabilizing this fragile molecule for people with eczema and reactive skin.
So when our Shiba was chewing his paws raw, with itchy skin and gunky ears, and nothing on the pet-store shelf helped, we reached for the molecule we already trusted. It was the only thing that finally let him settle.
