What is HOCl?
Hypochlorous acid is a small molecule (H–O–Cl) that every mammal's immune system already produces. When your pet's white blood cells detect bacteria, viruses, or fungi, they generate HOCl to respond to it. The same molecule used in modern medical and veterinary applications — we use it externally.
How it works
HOCl works through oxidation — on contact, it breaks down the cell walls of microorganisms without harming healthy skin underneath. Because the mechanism is chemical and not antibiotic, microbes can't develop resistance to it.

Why we built this
It started with our Shiba — and what we already knew worked.
Our family has been in the disinfectant business for 15 years. HOCl has been part of what we do the entire time.
When our Shiba, Mochi, started struggling with sensitive skin, irritated ears, and constant paw licking, we tried every pet product on the shelf. None of it worked for him. So we turned to what we already knew — HOCl was the only thing that made him comfortable.
We built Burrow Made to share it with pet parents going through the same thing.

The HOCl in every bottle is produced using a Japanese-licensed stabilization process — the result of 30+ years of pharmaceutical-grade HOCl research. Manufactured at our partner facility in Taiwan under GMP-certified cosmetic standards.
